Well, the first thing I want to do is say hello to all the visitors of this page. Its taken me a long time to get around to doing something like this and finally it's all happening. So right now I guess you're wondering why? Well, I'm a first year Media Communications Student at the University of New South Wales. I'm learning how to make web sites as well as to communicate effectively. So I guess that justifies most of my reasons. On the other hand, I have been a dj for the last three and a half years of my life, and have decided to produce a web site simply to get a bit of publicity, and to try and create an online community that stays in touch with each other.

I have always liked websites from figures such as DJ008 and Promos4djs. I think heaps of people also like them and would find it hard to be without them. This is because it gives House Music a bit of publicity and has created an online community. I'm hoping to expand on this community...maybe make a section on the page where we can listen to each others mixes and get each others ICQ numbers and e-mail addresses to keep in touch.

I feel that the one thing that has been neglected is our individual skills as djs. How often do you come across a site that allows everyone to be involved in sharing what they can do? I'm not saying that the other big sites do not allow this, but it is hard to get yourself recognised and heard as a dj. I'm hoping that this site will give many a chance to be heard. So keep yourselves posted in the future, and help contribute to this creation.

Finally goes down

It seems to me that things have finally gone wrong for Audiogalaxy. This morning, I got out from bed and went to my computer hoping that I would be able to download a song that I heard in a really good mix. Well...it seemed that this song was un-downloadable, as there was a cross (much like the one above) placed next to it's name. This means that the song is copyrighted and therefore is restricted. Well...I was very disheartened as I have been using Audiogalaxy for the last three years of my internetting career. It seems to me that I am going to have to start buying my music from now on. Actually, it seems to me that a shit load of people are going to have to start buying their music.
